1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PilotVerify's email validation service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

PilotVerify provides email validation services including:

• Syntax validation and format checking
• DNS and MX record verification
• Disposable email detection
• SMTP mailbox verification (optional)
• Bulk validation via API and CSV upload
• Usage analytics and reporting

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Credit System and Billing

4.1 Credits

• Each email validation consumes 1 credit
• Credits never expire
• Credits are non-refundable once purchased
• Credits cannot be transferred between accounts

4.2 Payments

• All prices are in US dollars
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for purchases
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for illegal activities
• Send spam or unsolicited communications
• Attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures
• Reverse engineer or copy the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Submit malicious code or attempt to compromise security
• Validate email addresses obtained without consent
• Use the Service to build competing products

6. API Usage

6.1 Rate Limits

API usage is subject to rate limits based on your plan:

• Starter: 100 requests per minute
• Professional: 1,000 requests per minute
• Business: 5,000 requests per minute
• Enterprise: Custom limits

6.2 API Keys

• Keep your API keys confidential
• Rotate keys regularly for security
• Use separate keys for development and production
• Report compromised keys immediately

7. Service Level

7.1 Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance.

7.2 Accuracy

While we aim for maximum accuracy, email validation is inherently probabilistic. Results are provided "as-is" without warranty. We are not liable for false positives or negatives.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• Email addresses are encrypted at rest
• Validation data is purged after 90 days
• We never sell or share your data
• You own all data you submit

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by PilotVerify and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You are granted a limited license to use the Service for its intended purpose only.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent activity
• Your payment fails repeatedly
• Required by law

You may terminate your account at any time from your dashboard. Unused credits are non-refundable upon termination.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PILOTVERIFY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PilotVerify from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
